Trinity School of Medicine - mbbs in caribbean

Trinity School of Medicine opens doors for qualified medical students from the United States and Canada. Our rigorous Caribbean medical school is fully accredited through the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP). That accreditation is certified by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA) standards, recognizing it as comparable to US accreditation standards in the eyes of the Department of Education. In addition, we offer a 5-Year program for international students from other countries that combines our Pre-Medical and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree programs.

Our curriculum provides students with robust, hands-on, comprehensive study and training. The Trinity Student Advantage maintains a low student to teacher ratio, while building rapport within the classroom and community. In addition, our students benefit from immediate and regular clinical experience and thorough USMLE Step-1 prep.

Trinity School of Medicine is an offshore medical school that prepares students in obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary for residency programs and careers in primary care within the U.S. and Canada. As one of the leading Caribbean medical schools in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinity awards Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees along with residency training for both the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS).

Trinity Alumni Spotlight

Trinity School of Medicine has always prided itself on the strength and ambition of its students. So many of our future physicians come our way looking for something new; whether that's a unique learning environment built on support and a strong relationship with the faculty, a curriculum with an emphasis on clinical skills and service to patients, or just a fresh start.

In this next edition of our alumni spotlight, meet Amy Hernandez, MD.

"I chose Trinity because I liked the small class size. The faculty to student ratio was very favorable. And, to be honest, since day one of the interview, everyone was so nice. It was a very friendly process and made everything just feel like a good fit."

Your Mission, Our Purpose

Trinity School of Medicine students are inspired by science and committed to service. A common characteristic among Trinity students is the altruistic desire to bring healthcare to communities in need.  Trinity SOM is happy to harness and nurture that trait to drive quality learning and provide greater global access to care. Our students researched the other Caribbean medical schools and ultimately chose Trinity for its collaborative environment, personal approach to education and the success of our graduates in earning competitive residency placements.

Studying abroad in St. Vincent for the first half of the MD program affords our students the opportunity to do, see, and learn in settings they wouldn't have access to elsewhere. Coupled with two years of clinical training in U.S. hospitals, our students graduate as compassionate physicians with the knowledge and skills to compete for their Residency of choice.
