Ryazan StateMedical University was established in 1950 . It was named after the first Nobel Laureate for medicine I. P. Pavlov, who was born and who worked in Ryazan.Today Ryazan State Medical University is one of the most prestigious medical University in Russia. Since the time of its existence, the University has earned a very high reputation both in Russia and abroad.

The University is also listed by the World Health Organization in its "Directory of World Medical Schools". It actively cooperates with international educational and scientific organizations like the Medical University of Arizona, American Pharmaceutical Convention and many .

Prestigious international awards such as The Crystal Knight (Malta), American Golden Certificate for the International Prestige (Monte-Carlo), Gold Lion (South Africa), Havana Libre Cup from 21st century Euro union organization have been recently added to the University's collection of awards. Ryazan State Medical University includes 56 departments, 16 academic buildings, base dental clinic, the central scientific research laboratory, consulting diagnostic polyclinic, vivarium, botanic garden with the experimental ground and beeyard, sports and health camp, 4 comfortable hostels for foreign students, gyms, mini-football ground, 2 basketball courts, tennis court and other facilities. The University possesses a rich library with educational and scientific literature in foreign languages.

Foreign Students Department

Ryazan State Medical University has been performing specialist training for foreign citizens since 1992. Over this period more than 1500 foreign students have become the University graduates. At the moment more than 1000 foreign citizens from 55 countries study here.
Ryazan Medical University has gained a lot of experience in teaching with the use of the translation service, which makes it possible for English- and French-speaking people to get education here. Such a specialization as “General Medicine” is available in English.
Foreign students take part in all University events, such as amateur performances, sport competitions, volunteerism, etc. Days of national culture organized by students from different countries are extremely popular at the University. On these days university students get acquainted with traditions, costumes, folklore and traditional dishes of their foreign mates.

Eligibility: He / She should have obtained aggregate 50% marks in the Physics / Chemistry / Biology/English in the 12th standard. As per the requirement of the Medical Council of India. There are no entrances examinations and the admissions are strictly on a first come first served basis. From world over there are large number of applicants and the seats are limited therefore, there is an added benefit to those applicants who apply early. The admission will start from January 2017.
